A new UNDE website is coming soon!

We’re getting ready to launch a refreshed website designed to make it easier for members to find the information, resources, and support they need from their union.

Whether you’re looking for help with a workplace issue, information about your collective agreement, UNDE news and updates, or ways to get involved, the new website will provide a clearer and more accessible way to stay connected.

As we prepare for launch at the end of the month, here is what members can expect.

FAQ

Why is UNDE launching a new website?

We heard from members that it was time for a new website—one that is easier to navigate, more accessible, and makes important information and resources easier to find.

Accessibility has been a key priority throughout the redesign. The new site is being developed with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) in mind to help create a more inclusive and user-friendly experience for all members.

What will happen to the current UNDE website?

The current website isn’t disappearing when the new site launches. It will remain available as an archive, allowing members to refer back to information from the previous website when needed.

Once the new website launches, it will become the primary source for current UNDE news, information, resources, and updates.

Not every past document will necessarily appear on the new site. If you are looking for an older document and cannot find it, please contact [email protected].

Will the new website be available in English and French?

Yes. UNDE publishes online information in both official languages. Members will be able to access content in English and French on the new website.

What is changing with meeting minutes?

As part of the new website, meeting minutes will be password protected to improve security and protect union information.

The password will be shared by email with all members when the site goes live. Members should watch their inbox for this information and should not share the password publicly.

If you require past meeting minutes or other documents that are not available on the new website, please contact your Local President or [email protected]

What if I notice an issue after the new website launches?

We want the new website to work well for our members, and there may be adjustments as everyone begins using it.

If you encounter a broken link, outdated information, a page that isn’t displaying correctly, or something that is difficult to find, please flag it with [email protected] Member feedback will help us continue improving the site. Please note that as the site goes live

I used to be able to edit my local page, can I still do that?

Yes! Our goal is to get locals back up and running with editing their own pages. If you wish to be a content creator please let us know. We will be working on developing resources to help content editors edit their new local pages and will contact you following the launch.

When will the new website launch?

We’ll share an email with the entire membership when the new website goes live, including what you need to know to access password-protected meeting minutes.

In the meantime, members can continue using the current UNDE website as usual.
